Year 4 Gilwell Park Residential Parent Workshop

Each year we provide pupils in Year 4 with the opportunity to visit Gilwell Park for a three day
residential trip. The dates for this year are: Wednesday 8th – Friday 10th May 2024.

Should you be interested in your child attending this residential trip, we will be holding a workshop
on Tuesday 5th March in the bottom hall from 9:10-9:40, where you can find out all the relevant
information regarding the trip. This will include an opportunity to view photographs from previous
years.

Heading to a residential trip is an excellent experience for the children and we encourage you to
apply to send your child. As well as developing each child’s independence, it also delivers a range of
team building and personal challenges. In previous years, these have included archery, grass
sledging, climbing wall, raft building, 3G swing and the infamous Leap of Faith.

Please remember there are a limited number of spaces, so these will be allocated on a first come,
first served basis.
Payment Details:
 The cost for the Gilwell Park Residential is £95
 You will need to pay a £40 deposit to secure a place
 A second instalment of £25 will be due by Monday 25th March
 Full payment is needed by Friday 12th April
Once the number of places is confirmed with Gilwell Park on the 15th April, we will be charged.
After that date, we will not be able to issue any refunds, unless another child takes up the place.
